What does it mean to demand Environmental Justice and what would it look like if we got it?
These challenging questions have been debated for centuries.
Usually it involves encouraging respect for other lifeforms, protecting natural habitat, and establishing protections under the law.
If injustice involves oppression then justice must entail liberty and at a minimum the freedom to have a habitable planet.
The Earth is for all humans. It needs to be respected and protected. It keeps us alive.
